Building confidence from day one
By the end of your very first driving lesson with Lock's Driving School, our goal is for you to feel more confident with how the car works. You'll gain a basic understanding of the car's controls, learn to move off and stop the car smoothly, and begin to build a great rapport with your patient, fully qualified ADI instructor. We want you to leave feeling a sense of accomplishment and excitement for what's next.
Addressing common worries
It's completely normal to feel a bit nervous before your first lesson. Many new students worry about crashing the car, losing control, not picking things up quick enough, or even the thought of never being able to drive. Rest assured, our instructor is incredibly patient and understanding. We create a calm and supportive environment where you can learn at your own pace, overcoming these fears with expert guidance and reassurance.

During your first lesson, you'll learn the exciting fundamentals: understanding what the controls do, how the car works, and practically applying this by learning how to start the car, move the car, and safely stop the car.
